Bob Mark will be describing the activities in and around Torbay as part of the support of the Royal Navy’s Channel Fleet in its blockade of the French Coast in the 17th and 18th century. This enormous undertaking was significantly responsible for the prosperity and development of the area over this period. More details are here.
