This month gives 2 opportunities to explore events relevant to Kingswear and Dartmouth.
Kingswear Historians
Our next talk at 7:30pm on Monday 10th November continues the naval theme, this time looking at Three-hundred and Forty Years of Admiralty Hydrographic Surveys. We are lucky enough to have another local speaker, Bob Mark who is an expert in this field.
How did our forebears find out where they were at sea, and how deep the water was, sufficiently accurately to create a navigational chart? Bob’s illustrated presentation on 10 November will look at the challenge of collecting hydrographic survey information. To see our poster and more information click HERE>
As usual, admission is £5 and is charged at the door. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available after the presentation.

DHRG are holding a “History Day” on Saturday 15th November at the Flavel Centre from 11am to 3:45 pm. The theme is “From Plague to Pandemic” and the talks will cover a 700 year history of disease and medicine in Dartmouth.
