Kingswear Historians is proud to be associated with the Friends of St Thomas’ Kingswear (FRoST) which seeks to preserve our historic church.
FRoST was established as a non-denominational registered charity in 2007 with the aim of helping to maintain the fabric of our beautiful church and to develop the building so that it can be used by and becomes more accessible to everyone in the village.
Since 2007, FRoST has raised money for the church in a variety of ways: quizzes in the village hall, BBQ’s, Summer Parties, concerts, book stalls, collecting boxes and kind donations. FRoST were very proud to have had the opportunity to lead the fundraising for the wonderful new bells. Kingswear’s new bells are a tribute to the effort of FRoST’s members and their success.
Undaunted, FRoST presented £1000 of the £6000 required to refurbish the church windows to the church on Wednesday 25th September 2024.
We very much hope that the village will continue to support FRoST in the future and if anyone would like to join the FRoST Committee, or assist in fundraising, you will be very welcome.
