Sheila Little interview – Memories of VE Day 8th May 1945

My Mother, Sheila Little’s (nee Willing) memories of VE DAY, 75 years on!

She was  a 17 year old school girl, living in Kingswear (Dartmouth) Devon, due to go to teacher training college in the September.

She mentions a few other wartime experiences and also my Dad, the local historian, Reg Little.

In these days of “lockdown” – I have not seen mum for 2 months so we had to go through the extraordinary palaver of an interview by skype !
